14. Walnut Street Theatre. Philadelphia, May 4, 1870. Third Week Of the Brilliant Engagement of the Great and World-Renowned Comedians, Mr. And Mrs. Barney Williams Who Will Appear In Their Great Pieces, The Grand Fairy Spectacular Drama entitled the Fairy Circle, The Laughable Comedy, entitled the Custom Of The Country, And the Side-Splitting Farce of The Happy Man. Wednesday Evening, May 4th, 1870, The performance will commence at eight o'clock, with Overture, "Groves of Blarney," Bishop, After which an Original Legendary Drama and Fairy Spectacle, written expressly for Mr. and Mrs. Williams, entitled the Fairy Circle Or, Con O'Carolan's Dream. Note.--It is the common superstition among the Irish peasants that the person who has sufficient courage to sleep within the charmed precincts of a "Fairy Circle," will dream of the whereabouts of some rich and deeply buried treasure. These "Fairy Circles" are strange freaks of nature, perfect illustrations of their name, as accurately as if outlined by a mathematical hand. Shakspere, in his exquisite play of "The Tempest,' alludes to these Fairy Trysting Places and their occupiers, thus: "You dewy puppets That by the moonshine do their green sour ringlets make Whereof the ewe not bites." Con O'Carolan, Barney Williams ... : To be followed by the Roaring Comedy of the Custom Of The Country Or, The Yankee Help. Melissa, with Song, Mrs. Barney Williams ... To conclude with the Side-Splitting Comedietta of the Happy Man. Paddy Murphy, the Happy Man, Mr. Barney Williams ..
