Manuscript is a short treatise and discussion (nirṇaya) on Hindu law used for consultation for the performance of rites and rituals on special celebrations of the Hindu calendar dedicated to various Hindu deities (Śiva, Gaṇeśa, Kṛṣṇa) including the festivals Navarātra, Catūrthī, Janmāṣṭamī, and others.

Perforations on either end may have been used for stitching at one time. The name Rāma appears several times as well as a depiction of that deity on the inside facing the manuscript.
