Collection of family names and lineages, especially for local Bangladesh Brahmans who want to connect themselves to established lineages from the mytho-historical past. Such lineages give local Brahmans the authority to perform rituals, marriages, funerals, and the like. Mentions, for example, the lineages of the great Ṛṣis like Kāśyapa, Jamadagni, Vaśiṣṭa, Bharadvāja, Bhṛgu and others. One person is named at the beginning of the manuscript: Bhāratīkānta, identified as a viśārada (great scholar). The manuscript is incomplete.
