Abstract:
Carta executoria issued under the name of Philip II of Spain in favor of Rodrigo Calera (or Rodrigo de la Calera), in response to his pleito de hidalguia (litigation to establish noble status), written in Granada and dated 29 January 1577. The end of the text refers to a colored cord (still present) and a lead seal (no longer present) (f. 55r). The text is followed by signatures, including a signature by Pedro de la Torre Romano (f. 55v) and a notarial inscription (f. 56r).
