View of the Jaffa Gate from the exterior with a tarp-like covering in an area near the gate. Some shadows of people are in the photograph.; The photograph has been mounted on matte. The title is handwritten in ink on the matte below the photograph. The photograph was signed by the photographer.; Condition: Good; extensive foxing and dirt on the matte; also the matte is slightly warped; Lazard dated the photograph to 1866/1867 and noted "voir [...]" points in the openings on the walls. He also noted the moving figures and believed there was a man and a horse and another man behind the wall.
