File of documents related to the arrest and trial of Goncalo Perez Ferro by the Mexican Inquisition for a relapse into Judaism, later bound into a single volume. The documents include the order for his arrest, testimony against him, his confession, his testimony before various judges against 24 other Jews, and a record of the light punishment that he received after showing repentance. His signature appears many times on the documents (f. 74v-155v), some of which are in his hand.

Probably part of the Inquisitorial archives given to Vicente Riva Palacio in payment of a debt by the State of Mexico, in the second half of the 19th century; probably given by Riva Palacio to an unknown friend in the 1880s before he sold most of the collection back to the State before his death in 1896 (Javier Castaño).; Offered for sale at auction at Swann Galleries, 18 November 2008, part of lot 286.; Sold by Alfred Eidlisz (Brooklyn, New York), 2011.; Presented to the Penn Libraries in 2012 by Arnold and Deanne Kaplan (Collectify accession no. 2011.08.05.00002).
