Collection of short texts in 30 chapters (adhyāya) drawn from various Purāṇas (nānāpurāṇa) praising the Hindu pilgrimage center of Kāśī (Vārāṇasī) and especially related to the Hindu deity Śiva and his emblem the liṅga; titles included are Kūrmapurāṇa, Liṅgapurāṇa, Matsyapurāṇa, Padmapurāṇa, Agnipurāṇa, Skandapurāṇa, Śivapurāṇa, Brahmavaivarttapurāṇa, Nāradīyapurāṇa, and the Śivarahasya.
