Abstract:
Two works recounting European travels made as a member of French diplomatic delegations. The first concerns a trip to Frankfurt for the assembly of electors following the death of Ferdinand III, Holy Roman emperor, in 1657. This trip also included visits to Nuremburg, Munich, Heidelberg, Venice, Rome, Florence, and Turin. The account includes information on the history and political organization of the places visited, particularly Rome and the Vatican.
