This is a manuscript of the execution of the will of Christian Schrack in Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; executors of the will Margaret Schrack (later Hatfield; 1753-1826), Abraham Schrack, and [George] Adam Protzman. Sums of money were distributed to Israel Jacobs, William Tims, Catherine Shimer, William Rittenhouse, Matthew Brooke, David Bruch, "Renshaw Bartram", John Lawrence, and Thomas Craig, Esquires; witnessed by Peter Richards, Israel Jacobs, and Francis Hobson.

Ms. document.; Christian Schrack, 1727-1780, son of John Jacob Schrack (1679-1742, native of Siglingen, Württemberg, innkeeper and statesman in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, founder of the Pennsylvania Lutheran Church with Henry Melchior Muhlenberg); Christian was a leather tanner in Trappe. Peter Richards likely of the Richards family originating in Merionethshire, Wales, immigrating to Chester County, circa 1680. Israel Jacobs (1726-1796), possibly Jewish mercantilist and agriculturalist, speculated land in Nova Scotia, member of the colonial assembly 1770-1774, elected to represent Pennsylvania (pro administration) to the Second Congress in Philadelphia (1791-1793). Francis Hobson (1720?-1792?) in Limerick Township, Montgomery County. George Adam Protzman (d. 1815) lived in Limerick Township, Montgomery County, son in law of Johnathan Custer (Custer family of Skippack, PA, patriots and soldiers in the American Revolution).; Title supplied by cataloger.; Layout: Written in five long lines above two columns; left column sum entered at the Register's Office, Philadelphia, December 20, 1786; right column itemized estate distributions; both columns feature three right vertical bounding lines, with vertical columns of £ (£sd, pounds shillings pence), P[ounds] (Pennsylvania pound), and D (possibly Spanish dollar), all in Pennsylvania Colonial Currency.; Script: Written in an 18th century cursive script.; Watermark: Large wreath and crown design; inside initials S.G.; Origin: Written in Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on May 7th, 1788.; "Rule and Order for auditors to re-examine the accods. of the Estate of Christian Schrack deed & Report of the auditors" written on verso.; Item folded and tearing; minimal staining.; English.
