Text is volume 498 of the "Sutra of Perfection of Wisdom", or "Mahaprajnaparamita sutra". In Japanese: "Daihannya haramitta kyo", cf, bookseller's catalog.; Volume is five columns per leaf; 17 characters per column; no border surrounding text. Printed in Nara, Japan, 1410; on mulberry fibers (gampi), accordian fold format (orihon); printed in bold, thick strokes, using black sumi ink, typical of Kamakura and Muromachi kasuga-ban printings. Kasuga-ban is a genral term for publications of the Nara monasteries, cf, bookseller's catalog.
