Abstract:
An 1875 copy of a collection of Catholic doctrine in Spanish with a parallel translation in the Kekchi language. Contents include texts of prayers (Lord's prayer, Ave Maria), the act of contrition, and confession; a declaration of doctrine in the form of a catechism; and lists of the ten commandments, sacraments, and articles of faith. Appendices give Kekchi words for the parts of the body, kinship relations, animals, and birds. A table of contents follows the last item.
