Photographer's note: Izzet, the only man in this photograph without a mustache, became a good friend of mine during my stay in Turkey possibly because we both shared a passion for photography. He is today a very well known photographer. For many years he was in the yarn business. I asked Izzet to identify the men in the photograph with him. He replied, “I can’t remember the names of all but on my left is Rifat, the man who carried heavy deliveries in and out, and on my right is Huseyin another nice guy from Poturge, (Kurdish area ) who used to scratch my back almost every day.
