Halper: "Part of a Book of Precepts in Jewish-Arabic. The preserved fragment was part of the introduction in which the author explained his system. This work is neither Maimonides nor Ḥefeṣ ben Yaṣliaḥ, although the auther followed the latter in many respects. Apparantly Ḥefeṣ may have been the author, except for the fact that in this fragment the word מצוה is employed, whereas Ḥefeṣ invariably uses שריעה. Is it identical with the work a fragment was published by Neubauer in JQR., VI, p. 705?"; Judeo-Arabic and Hebrew Oriental
