A niche with a sculpture in the Chapel of Saint Helena.; The photograph is in a book with a typed description in French: "Dans la chapelle arménienne de Saint-Hélène, on trouve deux autels dont le principal est dédié à la Sainte. Là, se dresse, en grandeur naturelle, la statue de la pieuse impératrice embrassant la Croix. En contemplant cette image sainte, comment ne pas revivre les mystérieux sentiments d’adoration inquiète dont fut agitée l’âme d’Hélène, quand elle assista en ce lieu même aux fouilles pratiquées sur son ordre au pied oriental du Golgotha pour y retrouver la Croix du Sauveur. Derrière l’autel, un autre escalier meǹe le pèlerin dans un autre souterrain où se trouve la chapelle franciscaine de l’Invention de la Sainte Croix. C’est l’ancienne citerne où les trois croix avaient été enfouies." "J.
