1834
Description:
Complete copy of Sambhyaṅgaṭīkā in 15 fascicles (phuk) and two partial copies of Aṭṭhakathā-vimānavatthu, each a single phuk, all together in one bundle (mat) with wooden covers. A colophon on the cover leaf of each phuk in the complete work dates the production of manuscript to 2377 Buddhist Era (1834 CE) under the sponsorship of Chao Khun Wang Luang (Lady Nun Bunnag, 1777-1836). Aṭṭhakathā-vimānavatthu is a commentary on the Suttapiṭaka, the second of the three divisions of the Tipiṭaka, the canonical collection of scripture of Theravada Buddhism. These two fascicles come from different manuscripts of the same text, written by different hands, with some overlapping content; the date and place of their production is unknown. (Peera Panarut)
