Vocabulary list of approximately 190 words in Spanish and Chol (Cholti), derived from the same late 17th-century manuscript upon which Ms. Coll. 700 Item 84 is based. The preface (Advertencia del Copiante; f. 2r), signed by C. Hermann Berendt, recapitulates details about the provenance and content of that manuscript, and refers to the present vocabulary as having been extracted from it by Daniel Garrison Brinton, as is also stated on the cover label (extractado por Brinton). (It is unclear in what form Brinton's version of the vocabulary existed.) Includes emendations and annotations by Berendt, in pencil and red ink.
