First part of manuscript (f. i-iv) instruction for performing the thread ceremony for the top three castes. Second part of manuscript is a collection of Vedic mantras (words or phrases of power) praising the deity Rudra (a Vedic form of the Hindu god Śiva). The text is more commonly known as the Rudram or the Śatarudrīya from the Yajurveda.; Yajñopavītavidhi (f. i-iv); Rudrapraśna (f. 3-17).
