A piece of the map is marked "CAHPOCCYMEO."; The photograph is in a book with a typed description in French and English. The French description: "Ce carton reproduit une grande partie du précédent. On y remarque la ville de Gaza, avec ses colonnades et ses monuments, et, tout auprès, l'église de Saint-Victor, martyr d'Egypte. Au sud de Gaza, Thabata, patrie de saint Hilarion. Les frontières de l'Egypte sont indiquées entre Bathylion (Béthélie) et Rhinocorura. Plus au Sud, la ville de Péluse occupe la place principale, avec une enceinte flanquée de tours et une colonnade centrale." The English description: "This map reproduces a great part of the preceding one. We see the town of Gaza with its colonnades and monuments and, quite near, the church of Saint-Victor, the martyr of Egypt. To the South of Gaza, Thabata, the birthplace of saint Hilarion. The Egyptian frontiers are shown between Bathylion (Bethelia) and Rhinocorura. Further South, the town of Pelusium occupies the principal place, with an enclosing wall flanked by towers and a central colonnade."
