Members of this family held the position of gouverneur de Poitou in the 16th century and carried the title of comte de Lude. The account includes both basic biographical information and information on services provided by members of the family to the French monarchy. A table of contents at the end of the volume (p. 79-82) gives the starting page numbers for major members of the family.
