Ane colection of meditations & prayers &c. : especialy such as are proper to be us’d before, at, and after receiving of the Holy Sacrament of the Lords Supper for my own privat use
Alternate Title:
Collection of meditations and prayers
Date:
1686
Description:
A collection of manuscript prayers copied and engravings cut from multiple 17th- and early-18th-century printed works, published in English or English translations, focused on the sacrament of the Eucharist. A table of contents follows the bulk of the collection (after p. 316), followed by a few prayers written by the same hand and also added to the table of contents (p. 317-319). One of these prayers has a note, "Used by me when in France 1690 & 1691," but both the prayer and the note were likely written circa 1724. The title page note "this colection I begun in London 1686" also seems to be a late addition whose meaning is uncertain.
