Fifth book of the epic poem the Rāmāyaṇa; deals with the exploits of the Hindu monkey lord Hanuman who travels to the island of Laṅkā and encounters the demon lord Rāvaṇa the text also deals with the conversations between Rāvaṇa and Sītā, who has been captured and imprisoned by the demon lord.
