Description:
Miscellany written for Yaʻaḳov ben Mordekhai Gabbai containing ʻEṭ sofer, a work with document formularies for use in a Bet din (financial, social, and philanthropical documentation); novellae, possibly written by Gabbai; and Goralot (a method of predictive speculation using Zodiac and Hebrew names; attributed to Abraham ibn Ezra in this manuscript (f. 17r)). Written in a Moroccan cursive script, with captions written in a Sephardic square script; additional (later) writing in pencil on many leaves, as well as doodles and mathematical equations; penwork designs, in the style of a title page (f. 1r-2r), with rosette stencils in ink (f. 1v-2r). Bound in a contemporary leather binding.
