Ms. codex.; Arabic.; First folio missing; would have held Sūrat al-Fātiḥah (The Opening).; Foliation: Western numeral foliation in pencil added, upper left recto; catchwords on every verso, lower left.; Layout: 21 long lines with border rules.; Script: Written in naskh using black ink.; Decoration: Sūrah titles rubricated and framed in gold; textblock ruled in gold, black, blue; page openings framed in gold and black rules; gold roundels at end of each verse; text partitions noted in red in the margins; first opening shows half of a double page illumination in gold, red, blue with text on cloudbands (f. 1r).; Binding: Covers are missing; spine is dark brown leather.; Origin: Likely copied in the late 18th or early 19th century.
