One folded leaf recording payment of yearly ground rent by Philadelphia merchant Edward Shippen for a property on Front Street, also referred to as Society Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Each payment is signed Luke Morris and spans the years from 1774 to 1782. One payment received on September 7, 1782, was for seven years.
