Description:
List of approximately 130 individuals (mostly men and very few women, for example, f. 68r, 88r) questioned or punished by the Sienese Inquistion between 1711 and 1714, and between 1768 and 1772. The brief entries of name and trial date, with occasional references to charges such as heresy or blasphemy, are arranged first alphabetically and then chronologically. Blank pages separate the letter sections. According to the title page (f. 1r), the list was commissioned by Iohannes Baptista Magni a Verruchio (Giovan Battista Magni da Verruchio), Inquisitor in Siena, and his seal of paper and white wax appears below the title. The initial effort continued from 1711 to 1714.
