Columns with hieroglyphics and heads.; The publisher's insignia is at the lower right. There is an attached description: "Dendera, i.e. probably 'The Abode of the Goddess Athor,' to whom this temple was dedicated. It belongs to the latest of the Ptolemies; on the rear wall of the temple outside are representations of Cleopatra and her son. These Isis-headed columns form part of the portico built by Tiberius; on the ceiling is the famous Zodiac. The hieroglyphics are more profuse than in buildings of a genuine Egyptian order."; Condition: Good; "Au des [...] commentaires 1055a Egypt Thebes Karnak Columns, with capitals in imitation of the papyrus bud 1056 Egypt Thebes.
