Abstract:
Collection of 130 texts of popular songs dated from 1714 to 1727, with the titles of the mostly contemporary tunes to which they are to be sung, arranged chronologically. Marginal notes accompanying each song give the date and identifications of events and famous and infamous people. An index of names at the end of the volume (Table alphabetique des noms contenus au present volume, p. 481-499), using the original pagination, includes royal, political, and literary figures.
