Manuscript is a selection from the Mahābhārata to be used for consultation during observances (vratas), prayer, and worship (pūjā). Rites are performed in honor of the Hindu deity Nārāyaṇa (also called Satyanārāyaṇa), a manifestation of the deity Viṣṇu. Contains mythology related to the rites and observances.
