Manuscript is used for consultation and study as well as a kind of guide or manual for understanding and performing seasonal rituals throughout the year. The work is divided into 14 sections including a table of contents, followed by a section for the domestic rites associate with the various lunar months of the year. Work derives from a large set of rites contained in the manual of rites associated with the Agniṣṭoma, itself part of the Jyotiṣṭoma (Part 13, f. 10r).
