Description:
Unpublished 18th-century French novel of the adventures of Auguste and Faufette on four imaginary islands after a shipwreck, modeled on Gulliver's Travels. Numerous edits have been made in the text. An inscription on a front flyleaf in the first volume reads, "Le Guliver fracais [sic] par J. August Torrilhon" (t. 1 p. iv).
