Ārṣarāmāyaṇa. Āraṇyakāṇḍa, circa 1700-1850.

Abstract:
A treatise on Advaita (non-dualism) Vedānta philosophy attributed to the ancient sage Vālmīki but composed by an unknown medieval author. Framed within the mythological world of the epic Rāmāyaṇa, the text is presented as a dialogue between the sage Vāsiṣṭha and the epic hero Rāma. A commentary by Maheśvaratīrtha, the Rāmāyaṇatattvadīpikā, runs horizontally above and below the root text.
