After the second trip, in 1789-1790, it was purchased by Robert Wigram, owner and builder of many Blackwall frigates.; Title supplied by cataloger.; Foliation: Paper, 131; [1-131]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto.; Layout: After seven blank leaves, the first three pages are written freehand. The remaining pages are divided into upper and lower halves with a complex ruling in ink of six columns of various widths, each of 12 lines, in each half. Some additional rulings in pencil.; Script: Written in a cursive script.; Decoration: Pencil sketch of "Island Ice" with the notation "Lat. 41.7 Long. 19.46" at back of book after regular log pages.; Binding: Contemporary parchment.; Origin: Written on board the General Goddard during a trip from England to Calcutta and Madras in 1789-1790.
