The Foster School of Clifton Springs, N.Y. also stayed at the hotel a few summers. Notes:
A hotel located in Watkins Glen, Schuyler County, New York. First opened in 1870 by Edwin C. Frost. In 1876 Charles Sherwood Frost, who was a marble dealer and manufacturer became proprietor of the Glen Park Hotel. The hotel was connected with the magnetic and sulfur spring house, located on Senaca Lake, and overlooking the Glen. The springs were advertised as medicinal having healing properties for skin conditions, rheumatism, and other ailments. The hotel was open from April to October each year. The Glen Park Hotel was also close to a train station and steamboat port. Approximately ten plus years after the death of Charles S. Frost in 1906 the hotel was closed. Three brick homes presently used as bed and breakfast inns were erected at the site circa 1920.
