Photographer's note: Bulisa was the last surviving Jew in Bergama. When we first met her in 1985 her husband Salamon was still alive. Our visit with her and a little bit of her story is told in Travels in Search of Turkey's Jews and our film Turkey's Sephardim 500 Years which comes with that book. She had much to tell us about her community.
