Description:
Manuscript used in private or public recitation and prayer to celebrate the end of a three-day festival starting on the fourth (or third) day of the bright half of the month of Bhādra. Performed primarily by women, who fast for personal gains such as the wealth of grain, sons and grandchildren, and the like. Section (khaṇḍa) of the Skandapurāṇa from which the text aligns itself is named Nāgaravarṇakhaṇḍa in an internal colophon (f. 5r), which likely is another name for the Nāgarakhaṇḍa.
