View of the Mosque of Omar and El-Aksa taken from the northeast.; The title, photographer's name and date are printed on the matte. The photographer's signature and series number (P 105) are handwritten on the photograph. There is a handwritten note, in pencil, on the matte: "Zion Gate [detourée]." A one-page description of the subject follows on the next page.; Condition: Good; Lazard dated the photograph to April 22 - May 1857 and noted that it resembled 877FRI/LD34 and 3660FRI/LQ7 "[portant]" the same Frith number (P105). Lazard also refers to the book on Frith, photo no. 61 and questions whether there is snow in the photograph.
