Description:
Text of Via salutus, vel dieta, by Guilelmus (or Guillaume) de Lanicia (f. 1r-73r). There is an index of chapter headings on f. 91v-92r. Also includes a chronicle of the abbey of St. Nicholas in Sebenico from 1421-1453 (f. 73r-75r), by Stephanus Bilicich. Folios 75v-79r are blank. Also includes a miscellany, primarily in the hand of Stephanus Bilicich (f. 79v-94v); includes a cryptogram (f. 80r), prayers, proverbs, recipes (including for ink) and an Italian poem (f. 88r; this poem has one line for every letter of the alphabet).

Link to collation model at end of record.; Layout: Written in 21 long lines; ruled in lead; prickings visible.; Script: Written in Gothic hybrid and Gothic cursive scripts; at least partly (if not mainly) in the hand of Stephanus Bilicich.; Decoration: 6-line initial in red and white on a gold illuminated background, with foliage in margin (f. 1r); gold has mostly flaked away, leaving only the ground; several other colored initials in red, purple, yellow, green, brown, and black with penwork ornamentation; extensive use of red for highlights, headings and decorations; frequent use of manicules in margins.; Binding: 15th-century Italian vellum over boards, rebacked. Vellum splitting and pulling away from spine. Possible evidence of slight water damage.; Origin: Written in Sebenico (Dalmatia), 1449-1453 (f. 73r-75r). Today Sebenico is Šibenik in Croatia.; Latin, with several items in Italian.
