Broadside; Noah, Mordecai Manuel; New York, New York, United States; 1828

Title:
Broadside; Noah, Mordecai Manuel; New York, New York, United States; 1828
Date:
1828
Description:
A Mirror for politicians. Moral beauty of consistency illustrated by sundry extracts from the leading prints now engaged in advocating the election of General Jackson to the presidency. An anonymous anti-Jackson broadside attacks the hypocrisy of those in the media who had attacked Jackson during the 1824 campaign and only four years later become ardent supporters. A particular target here is Mordecai Manuel Noah of New York City (1785-1851), a journalist and politician.
