Inscription on Joseph Priestley's tombstone: To the memory of the Rev.d D.r Joseph Priestley who departed this life on the 6.th Feb.y 1804 Anno Etatis LXXI. Return unto thy rest O my soul for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. I will lay me down in peace & sleep till I awake in the morning of the resurrection.
