Acquired for the Penn Libraries with assistance from the Rosengarten Family Fund.; Penn Libraries copy has bookseller's typed description (3 leaves with "Received 3 Nov 1971 Sotheby & Co." stamped on verso of third leaf), 1 folded printed sheet ([4] p.) advertising "The criers and hawkers of London ... edited with an introduction and commentary by Sean Shesgreen", and 1 folded photocopy of p. 64-65 of Shesgreen's introduction with a few ms. marginal notes laid in.; Penn Libraries copy: plates 2-9, 11-30, 32-55, 61, 70-72 each has a sheet of tissue laid in; plate 2 has ms. marginal note ("Hugh Massey") in pencil; plate 27 has ms. marginal note ("Hans Buling") in pencil; plate 38 has ms. marginal note ("Phillips") in pencil; plate 66 has ms. marginal note ("Clark") in pencil.; Purchase for the Penn Libraries made possible through the generosity of Dr. Satoko Parker.
