The Parthenon and the Acropolis.; The photograph is printed in a book with a typed description beneath. The description: "(I. Thessalonians, v:28.)--The first Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians was written from Athens, and we give a view of the Acropolis and Parthenon which stood in St. Paul's day, and also a glimpse of modern Athens as it appears to-day. We are looking toward the north. We see the ruins of the theater of Bacchus and of the Parthenon, and of the Erechtheum, and of the Propylea. To the right of the Parthenon we see Mount Lycabetus, and to the right of Mount Lycabetus we see the palace of King George I. We see a road passing along at the foot of the Acropolis over which St. Paul passed often during his stay in Athens.
