A leather bound volume comprising the personal accounts of Richard Sidenberg spanning the years from 1880 to 1891. Preceding the 311 numbered pages is tabbed alphabetical index. The index consists chiefly of company names. The ledger records Sidenberg's accounts, banking transactions, bonds, deposits, and dividends. The ledger is divided into several sections indicated by a heading at the top of each page. The sections include cash account, inventory account, income or profit and loss account, properties by addresses, individual railroad accounts, banks, and insurance companies. Toward the end of the volume are recorded monthly profits and expenses of the G. Sidenberg Co. There are small accounts regarding individuals of the Sidenberg family including his wife and children. There are several notations and items crossed out in the volume. Title is stamped in gold on cover. A metal, locking closure is attached to the covers. Pages 304-311 are blank.
