Waste book version of the journal or daybook of the College, Academy, and Charitable Schools of Philadelphia. A fair copy of the entries for the period 1749 to 1764 are found in "Journal A" (UPA 3 Pre-1820, No. 1515). Posted ledger entries are found in UPA 3 Pre-1820, No. 1517.; Daily record of College, Academy and Charity School and accounts payable for faculty salaries, building expenses, materials and furnishings purchased, repairs and services rendered and receipts from subscriptions and interest on investments. Includes accounts with Benjamin Franklin, Peter Collinson and others in England for instruments and books. The last pages contain an account of documents delivered by Francis Hopkinson to Henry Hill, Treasurer of the College board, May 7, 1789.
