A system of physicks.

Abstract:
Notes on astronomy, meteorology, mineralogy, metallurgy and physiology, by an unidentified author. According to Christopher Hilton of the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine, comparison of this manuscript with Wellcome MS.1035 suggests that the manuscript is a copy of lecture notes from Cambridge University. This System of physicks corresponds closely to one owned by Daniel Baker of St. Andrew's Holborn, London, educated at Trinity College, Cambridge (admitted March 1680/1), who was later resident at Penn, Buckinghamshire. Includes first-hand observations and mentions the findings of "Dr. Beal of the Royal Society," quotes from Gadbury the Commonwealth astrologer, etc.
