Place and approximate date of fabrication from bookseller's description.; The figures of the Virgin Mary and Child Jesus, the visible portion of their chair and of a table with a basket of fruit have been excised from the original print, partially hand-colored and dressed with multiple colored fabrics, glitter, and foil. A quarter-round, glitter-covered, rayed object (wood or card?) is affixed in upper left corner of frame; a fringed cloth drape, tied back, is affixed in upper right corner of frame. The print's caption has been excised, varnished, and affixed beneath primary image at foot of frame. The whole is mounted on a black painted background in a dark wooden box frame (31 x 22 x 3 cm) fronted with gold-bordered glass. "Probably reglazed and boxframe renewed, original backing preserved"--Leo Cadogan Rare Books.; Caption below image reads: Vierge Sainte, ces fruits de ton fils la figure, Rendront sous le pressoir un jus delicieux.
