Ledger recording the financial transactions of New York textile and mercantile firm Wright & Young from 20 February 1759 to 19 August 1760. The names of Daniel Wright and John Young appear repeatedly. The items bought and sold are types of textiles (calico, multiple types of lawn, nankeen, multiple kinds of linen, silk, damask, cambric, satin) and sundries (buttons, thread, needles, knee garters, handkerchiefs, gloves, stockings, shoes, buckles, blankets, ribbon, paper, spices, tableware). Jewish participants in transactions in this volume include Abraham Isaac Abrahams (p. 438), Emanuel Abrahams (p. 485), Myer Benjamin (p. 392), Israel Josephs (p. 396), Benjamin Levy (p. 429), Isaac Pinto (p. 401), Jacob Pinto (p. 396), Sarah Pinto (p. 411), Philip Samuel and Henry Mordecai (p. 407), Ezekiel and Levy Solomons (p. 414) and Isaac Solomons (p. 482). Other customers are both men and women with English or Dutch family names. Trading voyages are noted to Bristol and London in England; Honduras, Santo Domingo and Cape Samana (the second and third now in the Dominican Republic) in the Caribbean; and Cape Fear, North Carolina. Large payouts near the end of the volume followed by blank pages may represent the dissolution of the partnership.
