Walnut Street Theatre. Philadelphia, January 27, 1870. Benefit of Beck's Band and Last Night But One Of the Highly Successful Romantic Military Drama, In Four Acts, by Watts Phillips, Esq., author of "The Dead Heart," "Lost in London," &c., entitled Not Guilty, Presented with every attention to detail, situation and effect. The "Young Volunteer Corps," and Beck's Philadelphia Band, No. 1, Are specially engaged, in order to give the proper martial effect to the Military Displays incidental to the Drama. Between the 2d and 3d Acts, Beck's Philadelphia Band, and the Orchestra under the direction of Simon Hassler, will perform the much-admired "Marche du Sacre," from Meyerbeer's Opera of "Le Prophete." In Act 3d Beck's Philadelphia Band will perform the "Grand Finale" of Verdi's Opera of "Ernani," arranged expressly by M. F. Aledo. Thursday Evening, Jan. 27th, 1870, The performance will commence at quarter to 8 o'clock, with Overture-"Military," Hassler, Expressly Composed and Dedicated to T. J. Hemphill, Esq., After which will be produced the New Military Drama, entitled Not Guilty, With New and Appropriate Scenery by the eminent artist, Mr. George Heilge. Machinery by Arthur Wright.
