Saturday Afternoon, Mr. & Mrs. Barney Williams Matinee When those Great and World-Renowned Comedians will appear in Two Great Pieces, The Grand Fairy Spectacular Drama entitled the Fairy Circle, The Laughable Comedy, entitled the Custom Of The Country. Saturday Afternoon, May 7th, 1870, The performance will commence at 2 o'clk, with Overture, "Groves of Blarney," Bishop, After which an Original Legendary Drama and Fairy Spectacle, written expressly for Mr. and Mrs. Williams, entitled the Fairy Circle Or, Con O'Carolan's Dream. Note.--It is the common superstition among the Irish peasants that the person who has sufficient courage to sleep within the charmed precincts of a "Fairy Circle," will dream of the whereabouts of some rich and deeply buried treasure. These "Fairy Circles" are strange freaks of nature, perfect illustrations of their name, as accurately as if outlined by a mathematical hand. Shakspere, in his exquisite play of "The Tempest,' alludes to these Fairy Trysting Places and their occupiers, thus: "You dewy puppets That by the moonshine do their green sour ringlets make Whereof the ewe not bites."
