A collection of treatises or possibly lecture notes on geometry, astronomy, mechanics and artillery. Comprises three sections or notebooks bound together at a later time; the first, Della mechanica, discusses geometry and trigonometry (ff. 1-60); the second, astronomy (ff. 61-108); and the third is an account of a manuscript treatise sent to the author by Francisco Corner on artillery trials carried out at Carpi in June 1784 (ff. 109-127).

Five leaves are laid inside cardboard cover after f. 60; section two is bound in another contemporary cardboard cover, before f. 61 and after f. 108.; Script: Written in a cursive script by what appears to be a single hand.; Decoration: Illustrated with diagrams throughout in a wide left margin in sections one and two and a wide right margin in section three. A full page diagram of a sphere is tipped onto f. 69.; Date 1763 appears in an example on f. 101; 1764 on leaves laid in after f. 60; final section is dated 1784 (f. 109).; Binding: Early 19th-century half calf with marbled boards.
